Creativity has driven me from the start of my studies. In Project 1, I taught myself tools like Adobe InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Procreate (Figure 1), using them to communicate ideas visually. This early exploration set the tone for how I approach creativity in design: curious, proactive, and hands-on.
In the course Aesthetics of Interaction, I learned to see aesthetics not just as visual quality but as interaction shaped by lived experience (Figure 2). This philosophical shift deepened my perspective and opened new creative directions in my work.
During my internship at Morgenmakers, I expanded my skills in a professional context. I created visual assets and an animation for the project En Nu Wij Samen, which taught me to choose tools critically. I began animating in Procreate Dreams but switched to After Effects for greater control (Figure 3). This experience refined my ability to reflect on tools, not just use them.

Although this project focused on Technology & Realisation, I intentionally explored the aesthetic side of design. I documented my prototypes using iPhone photography and Adobe Lightroom, experimenting with RAW editing, lighting, and framing to create clean, coherent visuals. For the final product photos, I collaborated with Studio Madeleine Scholtes to explore shutter speed and motion, capturing the playful nature of the design.
One regret is not being able to create the immersive presentation I envisioned for demo day. The prototype was finished just in time, leaving no room for setup design, something I hope to improve in future projects.
Despite that, this project helped me grow in visual storytelling, styling, and presentation. I now feel better equipped to bring more intentionality and aesthetic depth to future design communication.
